Week In Brief 1st to 6th October 2012

"If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop the habit in little matters. Excellence is not an exception, it is a prevailing attitude.”–Charles R. Swindoll

As kids we all would have got an excellent remark from our teachers or parents which made us feel proud of ourselves like we have done something good that made us stand out of the crowd. When looking at this definition of the word excellence though it makes you really think. Can we, with certainty, look at all areas of our life and compare it to the word “excellent”? I believe that excellence is something that we should all be striving for daily in every aspect of our lives.
We should ask ourselves, when making any decisions, whether in our personal lives or for our companies,”is this unusually good, surpassing ordinary standards”? To achieve excellence you must require more of yourself, going above and beyond the bare essentials.
Excellence can truly be accomplished in every aspect of our lives and it is a standard we should hold in our families and companies too, but, it all starts with YOU!
I end this with this challenge, push yourself to seek excellence in not only the easy areas of life but in the difficult areas…achieving excellence in the hard times will develop integrity and character that makes you stand out from the ordinary!

Hmmm…This week when I was thinking of whom to talk about for the column, many names went through my mind…But then I thought when I have the MCR of Career Centre sitting in the cabin next to mine why should I go searching …then Subin V also told guess he will be a good option.

So this week we have Mr Dileep M B, Sr Executive Recruitment the Most Critical Resource (MCR) of Career Center....

Mr Dileep M B
Dileep is a graduate in engineering and has done his Masters in Business Administration from Liverpool John Moor University, Ireland. He has a total of 3 years of experience in marketing and HR, out of which the two years of HR experience, is with us. Dileep says that during his studies abroad he had worked in many different roles from a newspaper boy to Team Leader in almost 15+ companies and adds that this has given him lot of confidence and helped him to understand different kind of work conditions and people.
Dileep has a high level of interest towards sports especially football and has participated in matches during his college and school life. His passion towards games is evident from the thing that Dileep, Arjun and others turn our Lunch Room to a Shuttle Court in the evenings…Guess who gave such a Fab idea??? Talking about Dileeps hobbies he paints and draws, but unfortunately he doesn’t have a copy to show here today…
“Once we have assigned him a Job, then assume it’s done. Doesn't need much follow Ups, Like a light house, he is Silent, but does the job perfectly. Has a Positive Attitude towards
everything…” These are the words that his Team Lead Brijesh Sir told about him…A very punctual person…Colleagues here say that you want a thing done then Dileep is your man…very friendly and helpful…and will find him in the forefront for all activities…Hmmm…so now you know whom to call for help here
So this is Dileep M B who dreams of going higher into the various levels of recruitment and taking his department and our company to higher levels…

Week in brief 24-29 September 2012

“The secret of life…is to fall seven times and to get up eight times.”
 - Paulo Coelho, from The Alchemist

There will not be a single person who has not faced failure in their life’s…But in the rare case if you have not guess you did not try anything different in your life…sometime one failure is more than enough to be a good lesson and we do it right the next time… but sometimes we fail and fail and fail…So what do you do next??? Leave it and say “I CANNOT” Then you are a coward…Because if Thomas Alva Edison had stopped experimenting because of the setbacks he had (it seems he had failed more than 100 times) one of the world’s greatest invention would not have happened… Even though we are no Edison or Einstein, or we don’t have any great inventions for the world we have a life to live and don’t you want it to be successful one??? Sure you do…Just one thing to do...Every time you fail be brave, Stand up and Say” I Will Try Again… I will do it…I Will Succeed” and then you will find yourself as a “WINNER”!!!!!!!!!!

Now I should say that ipsr is having a very talented pool of employees...

Well today we have someone from our Calicut Branch for the column…Mr. Sudeep E I, Team Lead- Software Training and Services, IPSR Calicut.

Talking about Mr. Sudeep, he is a very visionary man, a good team leader who understands each of his team members and is the key factor behind the success of his team. The high level of dedication and commitment he shows to his assignments is really commendable…

Apart from this Sudeep has a great passion for photography and his clicks always reflect his love for nature and show casts his professionalism... Isnt it clear from the cliks below..

Sudeep is also a short story writer and has published certain stories in the college magazines and other publications. He loves reading books especially the works of M T Vasudevan Nair. He is very much influenced by the principles of Swami Vivekananda and tries to implement them in his life.

Mr. Sudeep is a very simple and humble person with a good sense of humor and optimistic view about everything he does. He always tries to analyze the social and political issues and express his views through his blogs and publications.

Week In Brief-17th to 22nd Sept 2012

““There is no telling how many miles you will have to run chasing a dream””

Don’t you dream…..? Not the ones you see while sleeping…..But with your wide open eyes. Obviously every person does that…or else what’s the purpose of calling ourselves alive...So we all have dreams!!!! May be buying a car, building a house, a dream job, a place to go to and the listwill never end for sure. How many of us are having the unsuccessful dreams…I guess many….Have you ever thought of why that happened to you…STOP!!! Before blaming everything or everyone around you, take few minutes and think…. “Did I do everything possible for making my dream come true” If your answer is YES…then let it go…Because GOD has a better plan for you…But if you think NO I could have done something more…There lies the reason for your failure…and the path to success.

So my dearest friends let go off all your unsuccessful dreams…Have bright look at your future…Set a new dream and promise yourself that every day I will be one step closer to my dream…

Dream big Dream small but do have a one and start the chase of fulfilling your dream….!!!!

Mr Subin V
Well so how should I introduce our Amazing Colleague of the week!!!! I am seriously confused about telling what he is actually… an animator, a trainer, a marketing executive, a chenda player, an actor, writer…the list seems to never end as he is all this at a very young age…and he has a long way to go..

Yes…this very talented person is none other than the person in the photo … our very own Subin V. Sr Executive Training and Development.-A should be animator or graphic designer who now has a successful career life of 5 years.

Within this short span of time he has worked as the marketing manager, personality development trainer with different organizations and has taken sessions for thousands of students at different colleges and educational organizations. He is also a student of Calicut University doing his final year B.Com

A very successful person in the career front has another colorful side to him
He says that there are two things which gives him pleasure of all time. One is Chendamelam and has learned chenda for a period of 8 years under his guru Sree.  Kalamandalam Sivadasan which he reckons to be the best time he ever had in his life. This training made him a professional at a very young age and has performed in many stages inside and outside school. Acting was something that he enjoyed same like chenda and has performed since his lower primary classes. He has also written and directed skit program at keltron’s campus which was very much appreciated. He and his team also did an album called ‘worries of heaven’.
No the list does not end here…. Read on…..

Learning new things from everywhere and from everyone has always interested him and helped him to achieve different skills says the multi skilled Subin…He has learned Yoga, Panchakarma and Spa- Therapy professionally and to add sugar on the cake bit of Martial arts and Jazz drums…Impressive Subin!!!

So this is Subin who after completing his vocational higher secondary at the age of 17 was an electrician, doing some works at his home town and for some shops nearby, who used to carry an Electric Tester even to bed and who dreamed of opening an Electric Shop but ended up being one of the best employees of IPSR. He says his life changed drastically after he met Mr. Shaiju Udaya his mentor and few other personalities in the Soft-Skills training scenario while he was doing his animation course… But Subin we say your life changed because you had a will to do something more, a determination, a strong mind and positive outlook about your life…

We are proud to have you here and wish to see you growing much more...
