Week In Brief : 6 August- 11August 2012

“In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.” -Robert Frost

FRIENDSHIP DAY CELEBRATION @ IPSR TVM

The Trivandrum wing had a blast on August 4th 2012 when they celebrated Friendship Day.  Now, here’s a thought of Ms. Richu.M.Shelly, Administrative Manager, TVM wing;

I saw a star falling down from the sky...

I saw a star falling down from the sky, I asked it-why???It said, I came down to earth to celebrate life. Yes, when stars shine down, we call them friends and then life becomes a celebration!

There are moments in life, when we sit down, feel our heart and whisper, “Friend, I wish you were here.” Life is a journey wherein we see new faces every day. Some we don't even glance at, some we give a careless look, some we notice, some we get to know, and some we never forget.True friends are those faces who never leave our memories. They may not be large in number, but they are the people whom we hold close and who know us with all our flaws.

In workplaces, we expect to meet colleagues rather than friends. But imagine the day you come to know they have turned to be some of the best buddies in your life. It deserves a celebration .And when friends celebrate. It’s nothing but the perfect place to be!

ipsr Trivandrum had magnificent Friendship Day celebrations which reflected the vibrant fellowship and team-spirit..A feast to relish upon…friendship tags to strengthen the bond…every beat in its correct place...

As somebody said, “Friendship isn't about one big thing-it's about a million little things.
Little-but-precious things. And that makes life closer to heaven, or to Heaven itself..!

Good bye wave this week too…..

Mr. Aneesh Kumar. S of Software Department, Kottayam has left the IPSR family as he is planning to expand his own family. Yes, he is getting married.

Wishes for his married life and future endeavors!

Week In Brief : 30 July - 4 August 2012

“Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art.... It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things which give value to survival.”

Special Transmeet @ IPSR Head Office

A Special Transmeet was organized by the Recreation Club on the occasion of Friendship Day on 3rd August 2012 at 4.00pm at the IPSR Auditorium. The theme of the transmeet was “My Colleague- My Best Friend” and aimed at an informal association between the co-workers.

The Beginning note was delivered by Mr. Krishnaraj, PRO followed by the Introduction of Newbies. The audience was allowed to ask questions to the newcomers to make it interactive and to know more about the individual. Mr. Brijesh George, Deputy GM gave a thought provoking talk on friendships that we see today, special emphasis on Facebook and other social networking sites that we use to connect to our friends.

To get the feel of the theme, Friendship bands were provided and through the lot system, each one found their lucky friend and tied the band as a symbol of friendship.

To make the transmeet more interesting, a popular game ‘BINGO’ was planned and well executed. The winners were acknowledged by our GM, Mr.Jayakrishnan.

The transmeet ended with tea/snacks, party poppers and group photographs

IPSR applauds the efforts of the members of the recreation club for organizing an 'out of the box' event and hope to see new programmes in the future as well.
