Talent Genie Makes an Impression

The huge turnout at the IPSR Kottayam auditorium on December 10th2009 alone was a testimony for the popularity of the programme, Talent Genie. The audience sat with rapt attention as they listened to IPSR CEO Dr. Mendus Jacob talk about Changing Trends in the IT Industry and Job Opportunities. Three students from the audience got the prestigious Redhat Caps for participating in an impromptu Quiz. They are Nadir Shah from Model Polytechnic College, Poonjar, Eby Varghese from Nedumkandom Polytechnic College and Bivin Damodar from Govt Polytechnic College, Muttom.

Nadir Shah from Vaikom is a final year student in Applied Electronics at Polytechnic College, Poonjar. The college sent 15 candidates to the Talent Genie Programme. Nadir Shah hopes to do Instrumentation Engineering through Lateral Entry Scheme after e completes his course.

Eby Varghese from Alady, Idukki is a 3rd year Electronics student at Nedumkandom Polytechnic College. Anxious to reach the programme in time Aby set out at 3am in the morning from his home. 20 students from the college took part in the programme. Eby won the prize for answering the question, “Which is foreign company acquired by Tata Steel?”

A quizzer interested in Programming, Bivin Damodar is a Computer Science Student at Govt Polytechnic College, Muttom. 9 students from the college participated in the Talent Genie Programme. He answerd the question, “Who heads the UID Project?” promptly and won the Redhat Cap.
