WEEK IN BRIEF-13-18 September,2010

Quote for the week

“Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day." - Anonymous

Life is a journey, a wandering through difficulties, hardships, hopes, dreams and what not be there! Some days in your life may be purely yours that you like to remember for ever and some days on the other hand you may want to forget forever. But keeping the bitter experience together with sparkling hopes of tomorrow makes us move forward in life and the success lies there. So, a positive attitude towards life can change the whole thing. When you start looking into the bright side of life even a bad day can offer you something good. Positive attitude and a desire to grow in life definitely brings you happiness, enthusiasm, potential energy to deal with events and problems that you want to meet everyday in your life.

Week in Brief @IPSR

Ranjan on Cloud Nine!

Mr. Ranjan Das A.P - Jr. System Administrator at Edappally branch got a chance to attend the inaugural function of the National Conference on Free Software and Education conducted at the Tagore Centennary Hall, in the NIT Calicut Campus. Mr. Richard Stallman, the founder of the GNU project and the Free Software Movement was the Chief Guest of the Inaugural ceremony. Ranjan being a fan of Mr. Richard Mathew Stallman, made good use of this rare opportunity to get an autograph on his laptop from Mr.Stallman, who is also known as ‘RMS’.It was a dream come true moment for Ranjan. The interesting fact is that the laptop Ranjan holds was previously owned by Mr.Rejy.M.Cyriac (former Director-Technical Services), IPSR- who is yet another idol of Ranjan. It was Ranjan's biggest dream to possess the laptop of Mr.Rejy.M.Cyriac ever since he attended a class by Mr.Rejy. The wish came true when Mr.Rejy gave off his laptop to Ranjan before he left for Red Hat, Pune. It seems that Ranjan always wished Mr.Rejy.M.Cyriac to be known as ‘RMC’ just like the great ‘RMS’. So, an autograph from the great ‘RMS’ on the laptop from the brilliant ‘RMC’!! Ranjan is super excited about the whole thing and said that this is a wonderful occasion for him to show his respect and gratitude to his mentor ‘RMC’.

Bon Voyage!
