WEEK IN BRIEF: 6-11 June, 2011

Quote for the Week:

And in the end, it’s not years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.- Abraham Lincoln
Life today is so fast that we hardly notice it pass by.We are all entwined in our daily routines and engagements that we barely get time to relax. Each day has its own troubles and hustles choking the ‘life’ we have. Is there a way out of this? There’s no magic formula that we can follow to live a relaxed life. We can’t just forget our responsibilities and be a ‘free bird’ either. But we can surely be content by living our lives in the right way. Do good things, help someone in trouble and above all be TRUE to YOURSELF. Make sure that you will never have any regrets in your life. Life is too short to waste it with our daily worries and anxieties. It’s not how long you live but how you live your life that’s important. So why don’t we just give it the best and get the best out of it….

WEEK IN BRIEF: 4-9 April, 2011

News @IPSR

  • IPSR @ Panakkachira,Idukki:
IPSR has taken a big leap into Corporate Social Responsibility by making the dream of the underprivileged children of Panakkachira, Idukki, come true. Last year Dr.Mendus Jacob had a chance to associate with the Malanadu Grama Vikas project as a part of which the students of this school were given Training sessions by eminent academicians from various educational institutions. These students studying in standards 5 to 7 belong to financially poor families. It was to fulfill their dream of having a computer system that Dr.Mendus Jacob initiated a Charity Fund last December at IPSR. The money which was to be spent on Christmas gifts was thus given for the Fund.

Thanks to the generous contributions big and small, of IPSRians from various branches, a new computer system was donated to the Malanadu Grama Vikas Society on April 7th, 2011, at a function conducted at the Panakkachira village. A few staff members of IPSR including Dr.Mendus Jacob were also present at the function.

Mr.Krishnaraj.S, PRO, IPSR, conducted an orientation class for these kids. Prof.Brijesh George John, Dy.General Manager also accompanied the team along with Mr.Anoop Gopi of the Hardware division.

Looks like the kids had a great time and are all really happy at their dream coming true.

The Malanadu Grama Vikas project which is headed by Dr.C.Abraham Thomas functions with a zeal for the upliftment of underprivileged students. The students are also given breakfast The project which is run with the help of contributions from various quarters also welcome beneficiaries who would like to sponsor a student for a whole year. Under this scheme Rs.2625 can be donated once a year for covering the expenses for the breakfast and the Training sessions.
