Week in brief 24-29 September 2012

“The secret of life…is to fall seven times and to get up eight times.”
 - Paulo Coelho, from The Alchemist

There will not be a single person who has not faced failure in their life’s…But in the rare case if you have not guess you did not try anything different in your life…sometime one failure is more than enough to be a good lesson and we do it right the next time… but sometimes we fail and fail and fail…So what do you do next??? Leave it and say “I CANNOT” Then you are a coward…Because if Thomas Alva Edison had stopped experimenting because of the setbacks he had (it seems he had failed more than 100 times) one of the world’s greatest invention would not have happened… Even though we are no Edison or Einstein, or we don’t have any great inventions for the world we have a life to live and don’t you want it to be successful one??? Sure you do…Just one thing to do...Every time you fail be brave, Stand up and Say” I Will Try Again… I will do it…I Will Succeed” and then you will find yourself as a “WINNER”!!!!!!!!!!

Now I should say that ipsr is having a very talented pool of employees...

Well today we have someone from our Calicut Branch for the column…Mr. Sudeep E I, Team Lead- Software Training and Services, IPSR Calicut.

Talking about Mr. Sudeep, he is a very visionary man, a good team leader who understands each of his team members and is the key factor behind the success of his team. The high level of dedication and commitment he shows to his assignments is really commendable…

Apart from this Sudeep has a great passion for photography and his clicks always reflect his love for nature and show casts his professionalism... Isnt it clear from the cliks below..

Sudeep is also a short story writer and has published certain stories in the college magazines and other publications. He loves reading books especially the works of M T Vasudevan Nair. He is very much influenced by the principles of Swami Vivekananda and tries to implement them in his life.

Mr. Sudeep is a very simple and humble person with a good sense of humor and optimistic view about everything he does. He always tries to analyze the social and political issues and express his views through his blogs and publications.

Week In Brief : 30 July - 4 August 2012

“Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art.... It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things which give value to survival.”

Special Transmeet @ IPSR Head Office

A Special Transmeet was organized by the Recreation Club on the occasion of Friendship Day on 3rd August 2012 at 4.00pm at the IPSR Auditorium. The theme of the transmeet was “My Colleague- My Best Friend” and aimed at an informal association between the co-workers.

The Beginning note was delivered by Mr. Krishnaraj, PRO followed by the Introduction of Newbies. The audience was allowed to ask questions to the newcomers to make it interactive and to know more about the individual. Mr. Brijesh George, Deputy GM gave a thought provoking talk on friendships that we see today, special emphasis on Facebook and other social networking sites that we use to connect to our friends.

To get the feel of the theme, Friendship bands were provided and through the lot system, each one found their lucky friend and tied the band as a symbol of friendship.

To make the transmeet more interesting, a popular game ‘BINGO’ was planned and well executed. The winners were acknowledged by our GM, Mr.Jayakrishnan.

The transmeet ended with tea/snacks, party poppers and group photographs

IPSR applauds the efforts of the members of the recreation club for organizing an 'out of the box' event and hope to see new programmes in the future as well.

Quoting the achievements of a few of them:
I was able to find money for my studies by taking tuition classes for school children. I was also able to take care of my paralyzed father who passed away during my fourth semester diploma classes. His death had affected my studies but I didn’t give up. I worked hard and went on to become the class topper in the fifth semester. - Sreela.K (Software Trainee, IPSR Calicut)
Since my mother is suffering from back pain, I was responsible for doing all the household chores during my studies. I had to find time to study after completing all the work at home. But in spite of all that I was able to score good marks in my Diploma and I am now successfully placed in IPSR. I see this as my biggest achievement. - Shilpa.S (Network Trainee, IPSR Calicut)
I had completed my schooling in a Malayalam medium school. There I didn’t get a platform to develop my English. I practiced speaking in English by myself in front of the mirror and now I can handle English confidently. I am also a badminton player and participated in inter district level school competitions. I was also in my college teamI got a job after my very first interview and was placed in IPSR. -Akhil Alby (Business Development Executive, IPSR Kottayam)
I studied in the Kerala Board till my 10th standard. After that, I joined an English Medium School for Plus 2. Eventhough I found it tough in the beginning, I studied well and became the school topper. - Shalu Shaji (Software Trainee, IPSR South Cochin)

This is a moment where pride, happiness and gratitude meets together...May 23....Today I complete 1 year of my work at ipsr....The first year of my first job....

Mr.Shiju Cherian is the one to whom I would like to express my first thanks as he is the one who offered me a place in ipsr family..His support and guidance have helped me a lot to improve myself and let go of my fears of my first job...

Dr.Mendus Jacob is a true administrator who knows the very pulse of his employees..His timely guidance and motivation is something I would always cherish close to my heart..From the moment I saw him leading Talent Genie to the present, he has always made me wonder about the way he manages everything with a cool and composed attitude....

I remember the day I walked into ipsr Kottayam for the joining formalities..I remember the warm and welcoming face of Ms.Nisha Annie Eapen who fed me in with a wonderful induction program...

The first steps of a co-ordinator are always important because that is where we learn to deal with people and I was lucky enough to get it from the super-woman of ipsr-Ms.Benila Mendus..The way she remembers the names and handles the clients have always impressed me and added flare to my job...

Brijesh Sir..Jayakrishnan Sir..Krishnaraj Sir..Arjun Sir..Sunil Job Sir..Shiju Alex Sir..Cherian Sir...Sijo Sir..Maurice Sir..Mojan Sir..Nibin Sir..Ms.Lakshmi..Thanks to all of them because they all have enlightened my way with valuable advices whenever I was stuck at point zero.

      Now-Team Trivandrum...who can forget one's own home????

Mr.Aneesh P.V-the man who redefined the 'BOSS' picture in my mind..He was a true guide, a wonderful mentor who amazed me with his dedication and sincerity for his work..There were hard days when the infant ipsr,Tvm had its share of falls..but the confidence and team spirit he provided all of us here can never be forgotten..The ownership he has for this centre has left me with a classic picture about how an employee should be faithful to the organisation he works for..

My colleagues here..An always energetic and vibrant group of youngsters..The spirit never dies down when you have such lively people surrounding you..!!!!

And my students---I love them!!!! The greatest happiness I obtained from this job is to see the satisfied smile of students as they leave ipsr after their courses..To see them get placed..To see them develop a wonderful attitude...And the testimonials they say with their heart...That is what made me love ipsr with all my heart...

I understand there might have been setbacks along my track...But one thing is sure..Last year was one of my greatest learning experiences of my life...I got a golden opportunity to interact with numerous people-who all taught me some different lesson-in dealing with people..

And today I thank God Almighty and my wonderful family for all the heavenly blessings they have showered on me...
