WEEK IN BRIEF 24-29 January, 2011

Quote for the Week:

“Happiness is like a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you”- Nathaniel Hawthorne

All of us are in search of happiness and contentment in our lives. We always look for different ways in which we can be happy. Some try to find happiness in materialistic possessions while others find happiness through sharing and giving. Some even try to find happiness through ways which others keep themselves happy. What we all forget is the fact that happiness lies within us. Only when we realize our true self can we attain a peace of mind. When we calm ourselves and stop running after happiness, it comes to us like a butterfly.

WEEK IN BRIEF 10 - 15 January, 2011

Quote for the Week
"A man is but the product of his thoughts. What he thinks, he becomes." - Mahatma Gandhi

Our thoughts mould our lives more than we know it, whether we consciously choose our thoughts or mentally wander aimlessly. There are positive and negative aspects to everything, and it is up to us to decide which one to focus on.

If you think good, then slowly you feel good and eventually do good.

WEEK IN BRIEF 3 - 8 January, 2011

Quote for the Week
"Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending." - Carl Bard

There are so many things that we wish we could have done or done better. We sit and think about our past so much that we lose our present, which inadvertently ruins our future. What we must realize is that a lot can be achieved if we just take hold of our now.
So start now, with zeal and all the passion you can muster; and let us step into a new beginning of life - with new dreams, new hopes, new aspirations and a desire to achieve new horizons.
