WEEK IN BRIEF: 25-30 July, 2011

Quote for the Week:
Empty pockets never held anyone back. Only empty heads and empty hearts can do that.-Norman Vincent Peale
Many of us find an excuse of lack of money as a reason for not pursuing our passion and goals. ‘Lack of funds’ has thrown many projects overboard. Lots of people put their dreams and aspirations on hold simply because they ‘don’t have the money’. But as Norman Vincent Peale points out lack of money is never going to be a hindering factor if you want to succeed. It is our hard work, talents, courage and intelligence that count as necessities for success. In fact we can make money if we have these qualities. When you use all your skills and willpower, success is sure to follow you.

WEEK IN BRIEF: 11-16 JULY, 2011

Quote for the Week:
Your imagination is the preview of life’s coming attractions.- Albert Einstein
Mankind has always progressed through the dreams it had about a bright future. We all dream of the best days to come and most of us have a clear cut picture in our minds as to how our life should be. Each one of us has a plan charted out on how to realize those dreams. In fact our dreams or imaginations are the seeds we sow for reaping the best of life. But then simply “day dreaming” won’t get you anywhere. Use your IMAGINATION for charting the BLUEPRINT of your FUTURE. That way you will be able to visualize how your life is going to be and live your DREAMS.

News @ IPSR:

  • A blast from the past:
We at IPSR are always happy to hear from our former colleagues and to know that they are doing well. It is also great to know that they are keen about knowing how IPSR is doing as well. One of the former IPSRians, Mr.Winny Thomas, who is also a regular visitor of Vibrant IPSR, came to know about the sensational growth that IPSR is achieving and sent a mail to Dr.Mendus Jacob applauding our success. Mr.Winny was one of the key figures who have helped in the inception of the Red Hat Training Division of IPSR and was the first consultant of the Linux Training Team. He in fact got certified in RHCE through self-study alone and became one amongst the first 10 RHCEs in India. He is now working at McAfee India Centre, Cochin.  This is what he had to say:

I read vibrantipsr.blogspot.com almost everyday. I keep track of the progress IPSR is making. And on more than one occasion I have told myself that this is amazing, the progress IPSR is making. It could be the number of RHCE, RHCSS, RHCA or the number of CCIE. I am proud to have been a part of the IPSR family. Even in social causes IPSR is doing good. To that I would also add that I am sorry if I were aggressive in terms of growth and money. I had to be ruthless for my own career. But I won’t forget how you got me a computer in the trunk of your car to my house in 2002 so that I can prepare for RHCE. I thank you a lot for that.

The R in IPSR stands for "Research". I do that today in my current role. With all the progress IPSR makes I would love to come back some day when IPSR does real research.

Thank you for sharing your experience at IPSR with us Winny. We are looking forward to hear more from you. Keep in touch!

WEEK IN BRIEF: 4-9 July, 2011

Quote for the Week:
Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.-Martin Luther King, Jr.
We come across many situations in life where our faith is put to test. When the road ahead is not clear or narrow we tend to step back in fear. During such times the only thing that we can do is go on no matter what. It is faith that pushes us forward when we are having difficult times and setbacks. Faith is that inner voice that steers us clear of doubt and anxiety. Listen to it whenever you feel lost in the journey of life.

WEEK IN BRIEF: 20-25 June, 2011

Quote for the Week:
Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.- Sydney Smith
You were going in the right on schedule for your project deadline but suddenly a hitch occurs and you end up lagging behind. Everything was going on as planned but just then something came in the way and now you don’t know what to do. Obstacles can come in different manners in different contexts. Whatever hinders you from reaching your goal or your destination or the end result can be considered as obstacles. Obstacles are basically DIVERSIONS that take off your FOCUS from your ultimate goals. You can approach obstacles in two ways- either you can stop whatever you have been doing and accept defeat or you can get over it and go ahead by finding an alternative solution. A positive and creative thinking can definitely keep you on track no matter what happens.

WEEK IN BRIEF: 6-11 June, 2011

Quote for the Week:

And in the end, it’s not years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.- Abraham Lincoln
Life today is so fast that we hardly notice it pass by.We are all entwined in our daily routines and engagements that we barely get time to relax. Each day has its own troubles and hustles choking the ‘life’ we have. Is there a way out of this? There’s no magic formula that we can follow to live a relaxed life. We can’t just forget our responsibilities and be a ‘free bird’ either. But we can surely be content by living our lives in the right way. Do good things, help someone in trouble and above all be TRUE to YOURSELF. Make sure that you will never have any regrets in your life. Life is too short to waste it with our daily worries and anxieties. It’s not how long you live but how you live your life that’s important. So why don’t we just give it the best and get the best out of it….

WEEK IN BRIEF: 23-28 May, 2011

Quote for the Week:
“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you will land among the stars.”- Les Brown

How many times have you felt discouraged when you failed at achieving your goal even after you put in your best efforts at it? It’s like all your energy has been drained out and you have no willpower left in you. But look at the bright side of failure. It’s not like you didn’t give a shot at it or that you haven’t tried hard enough. You have taken a step forward and have reached at least a bit closer to your goal. The important thing is that you give your 100% so that you can achieve at least a 95%. So always aim high, because all your efforts are worth it.

WEEK IN BRIEF: 9-14 May, 2011

Quote for the Week:
“Time and tide waits for no man” –English proverb
Time is the scale using which we measure longevity. It denotes our past, present and future. Time is considered so indispensable that the modern world believes that ‘time is money’. Even a second has a value in every endeavour undertaken. Time is also a factor that controls the pace of every task. See how TIME controls our world! The passing of time can be compared with the coming in and out of the tides. Just like a tide which comes and goes, time passed cannot be brought back. So use your time wisely and get the best out of it.

News @ IPSR:
  • Reneesh.A-CCIE:
Yes that’s right! Mr.Reneesh.A-Head of the Cisco division of IPSR has become a CCIE now. He had been working hard for the past few months to crack the CCIE exam and reaching the pinnacle of the Cisco certifications. It has definitely increased the sheen of the Cisco division which is preparing to catapult to an even higher track record in the coming days. This will surely be an inspiration for the next batch of CCIE aspirants including a few members of the IPSR Cisco faculty crew too. Another candidate Mr.Anurag who is also a former IPSR employee had also attempted the CCIE exam and has passed. This makes a total of five CCIEs passing out from IPSR.
