Its Onam once again and IPSR is all set to celebrate this festive occasion. Onam celebrations at IPSR will be held on Saturday, 29th August at our office. The celebrations will commence early in the morning with an 'Athappookkalam'. The pookkalam shall be ready by 9.30. It will be followed by an 'Onasadya' at 1 'O'clock. All are requested to participate in the Onasadya and ensure your presence on the occasion. Wish you all a Happy Onam !

Georgy's Laptop Trial

Anxious to progress with his blog on Jeevan's matrimony, Georgy decided to buy a laptop. But he forgot to attend the Laptop for Dummies class. The result? He was livid that his laptop was not getting charged and gave Nebin a earful about his. The entire while he had not pugged the charger into the socket. Don't worry, Georgy! We are organising a refresher for you.

Here is some Independence Day Gossip for you. Hari(Faculty, IPSR) went to purchase an Indian Flag to celebrate the country's Independence. But he was disappointed with India's tri-colour. He pointedly asked the shopkeeper whether he could get the flag in other colours like perhaps, purple or yellow. The shopkeeper is still in a state to shock.

The Official Website of Lion's Club International District 3243E3 was inaugurated on 2nd August, 2009 at a colourful function held at Mammen Mapillai Hall, Kottayam. The website was inaugurated by MJF Lion Haroon KPA (International Director, Lions International. MJF Lion Dr. Thomas Pjilip introduced the website to the 1500+ audience. It Happened!

For all those doubting Thomases (Shiju Alex and the like) and Thomasinas, Transmeet did happen. We started a bit late though due to technical hiccups (Krishna was searching for an apt music compilation and refused to start without the music), but otherwise it was a smooth sail. Cherian welcomed everyone and after that Krishnaraj took over as the MC. Introduction of new employees and Referral system followed. The highlight of the day was the crowning of the Most
Eligible Bachelors of IPSR - Jeevan, Georgy and Bijumon. Jeevan was so overwhelmed with emotion that he cried buckets of tears. (Somebody give him a break and find him a girl, the poor chap is miserable)!

Transmeet ended on a sentimental note when it came time to bid farewell to our beloved Priya who had been managing the Front Office Desk of IPSR for the past 5 years.
We definitely missed our collegues at Calicut and Cochin this time. Hope to see some of you at the next Transmeet. Ciao!
