Campus Ambassadors Meet

A Campus Ambassador Meet was held at IPSR Kottayam on March 21st Saturday. The Meet was attended by Campus Ambassadors from RIT Pambady and Mount Zion College, Pathnamthitta. The students were smart and lively making the sessions a huge success. The forenoon session was led by Ms. Smitha Thomas and the afternoon session was led by Dr. Mendus Jacob, our CEO.

Oops! Sorry!

It is not Crash course expert Vinoop who fainted the other day. It is our faculty Aneesh who fainted. I really have to check my sources. Or I might lose my job as Chief Blogger.
Hey! Shiju just forwarded me an article on 5 things to do if one loses one's job. I could be doing all these things next week.

Crash Course Expert Crashes

CCNA Crash Course Expert Vinoop fainted the other evening. The poor guy is so dedicated to his job that he offered subsitute for two faculty members the other day. So after engaging two batches in the morning he had no time to catch lunch before his own afternoon batch started. The result? Exhaustion and starvation which led to his fainting. Hats off for dedication!

Marketing Man Fall Prey to Marketing Gimmicks

Poor Brijesh! Never in his wildest dreams did he think that he would fall into such a trap. Brijesh George John (AGM, Marketing) got carried away by the MGF Hyundai Ad about free service day before yesterday. He promptly called them up and was overwhelmed by their enthusiasm to service his car. When they asked him whether he wanted the full treatment for his car he readily agreed. No point in wasting free service.

That evening Cherian dropped him at the service center so that he could collect his car. The MGF guys presented him a whopping bill of Rs.3500/-. It seems Brijesh hadn't noticed the Conditions Apply Term on the ad. Brijesh had no money with him. Cherian did not wait to see what happened. We know that Brijesh did not turn up for work yesterday. Could he be at the service center washing cars to pay off his debt?

Obituary

Pen Talk

Krisharaj and Cherian belong to an elite group of people which includes prime ministers, presidents, business leaders and celebrities who still use fountain pens. Krishnaraj owns a Sheaffer Triump Imperial and Cherian owns a parker 45 apart from half a dozen pens of the Indian export quality brand Wality. They use imported skrip ink manufactured by Sheaffer, USA. They are on the look out for fine writing instruments.

Cherian's Comment on Shiju Alex

Cherian's comment on Shiju's Under Construction Website is worth publishing.

"This is a case akin to the agricultural officer ( krishi officer) in the Kerala agricultural Department. He "helps" the whole world in farming but doesn't do any farming on his own."
Another point from Cherian
do you know why his site is fallow
he was busy spending his time and energy to his parish

Beware Staff members

If you have a maid servant at home who comes regularly to work don't tell Smitha, our blog editor. If Smitha enquires whether her services will be available on a Sunday to be engaged at Smitha's house then you had it. Your maid will stop coming from the next day. Alternatively if you have a maid servant whom you want to pack off tell Smitha. Your servant will automatically leave the next day. This has been proved and tested at IPSR. This service is also available to the public also.

Jemini's Misfortune

Jemini Varghese, OSBDC (OpenSource Based Development Centre), IPSR Edappally, bought a small dog for Rs. 250 at her home in Pampady, Kottayam. Sunday, when she played with dog, it bit Jemini's forefinger. Do you know what happened? On Monday she had to consult a doctor. For one day the expense is RS.500 for medicine and injection. She needs to do the same for 5 days which totals to Rs 2500 !!! This is what one calls Return on Investment. So friends please be careful while playing with dogs, health, money, time ...

Some Fun at Shiju's Expense

IPSR Business Analyst and SEO Expert, Shiju Alex, should definitely take a few lessons out of his own manual. Jibin, our Tester at Kochi, sent me the foll text to be added in the blog.

Check out the photos of the inauguration of the new office space at Calicut. So now we have proof that Bijumon actually attended the inauguration. Where did things go wrong? In the train journey?

Suddenly there seems to be a flurry of blogging activity here at IPSR. We are, of course, thrilled. Keeping in mind Cherian's advice, I am going to link all these blogs here.

Smitha Says Goodbye!

Today is the last day of Smitha George, our programmer at IPSR. And we were all thinking that she was still on Cloud Nine because of the birthday bouquet she got from her husband. More reason to celebrate. She gets to join him in Dubai!

Bachelors Beware!

After Cherian, now it is Bijumon's turn. We seemed to be celebrating World Disability Week aat IPSR. Bijumon had gone to Calicult IPSR for two days for the inauguration of our new office space there. Today he is back with a handwrap. He is not revealing details. But I am really worried for IPSR which abounds with bachelors. Girls are learning all sorts of Martial Arts these days ranging from Kalaripayattu to Kickboxing. Beware!

Cherian does not see eye to eye with wife

Finally it happened! Cherian's wife, exasperated with him for talking nineteen to the dozen while she is busy sleeping decided to take swing at our poor chap. She actually aimed at his teeth but in the dim light she missed. A broken toe and a dysfunctional retina definitely makes Cherian handicapped. One eyed Cherian has not come to work today. Maybe there's more damage than he is admitting. You can definitely look at a computer screen with one eye. Wife will have to think of better ways to shut him up.
By the Way, our man has his own website. To quote Cherian,
"Hyperlinks make a man's website"
So for those of you who has a penchant for nonstop nonsense, visit http://mtcherian.com/

Seminars at Govt. Polys

Dr. Mendus Jacob had a very busy schedule this week with seminars almost every other day. On 3rd he delivered a lecture in the Decennial seminar Series at Govt. Polytechnic Perumbavoor. Campus ambassador Robin and faculty members Sathish and Nambisan were extremely helpful.

There was a seminar at Govt. Polytechnic Pynavu also this week. The college is set in the middle of a beautiful forest. The principal, Raji Miss, Campus Ambassadors and Vincent (our faculty Roselin's fiance) overwhelmed Dr. Mendus Jacob with their enthusiasm. The most seminar so far in the Decennial Seminar Series in terms of student participation and attitude.

Watermelons Everyone!

Our Project Officer Cherian's advice for all ipsrians bathed in perspiration due to the recent heatwave in Kerala. Eat Watermelons for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They come cheap at just Rs.8 per kilo. Definitely a recessionproof thirstquenching technology. Sound Advice indeed!

Hope for Jeevan soon

Dr. Mendus Jacob, our CEO has just purchased a Learn English Through Love and Romance CD by Espoir Training Services for Jeevan K Augustin. Sir was a little worried about how Jeevan is going to handle our international clientele and losing a lot of sleep over it. As marriage seems to preoccupy Jeevan's mind these days Sir hopes that he will be enticed into learning English with this CD.
